One of the coolest places I have ever been is New Orleans, Louisiana. It was such a fun, historic and wonderful town. It wasn't even Mardi Gras. Can't imagine how it would then! The city was booming and one big party with lights and people having fun. But at the same time, anywhere you look, there were blasts from the past. with the wonderful old plantations along the swamp, the riverboats and the French Quarter. You could close your eyes and almost feel yourself drift back...to some pretty exciting times. It's sure a place I would like to go back to someday! From the hustle and bustle of French Quarter to the surrounding swamplands...there is history and excitement all around. These were taken before Katrina's wrath on the city.
